Minimum Carrier 04

Description

Same image as in Minimum Carrier 03 but more complete shading.
The term for this type of crumpling to engineers (in English) is "Thin Wall Buckling."  I don't know how it is defined in other languages, my apologies.  You can experience this process with any empty thin wall aluminum beverage can -- grab it around the middle and crush it with your fingers -- you'll see several examples of Thin Wall Buckling.
This drawing - Minimum Carrier 04 - has become (in my opinion) "artsy" art, perhaps interesting to look at but doubtful you could figure out how to make the paper strip knot by studying this image.  The drawing Minimum Carrier 02 would be "toolish" art in that a person could correctly tie the paper strip knot from the diagram at the middle bottom of the page.  Moreover, Minimum Carrier 02 also contains dimensions for the paper strip, 0.002" (0.05mm) thick, its width is the same as the diameter of the sphere being wrapped up, and it is 24 times longer than it is wide.

There are parts of Thin Wall Buckling effect that I find to have a delightful, "beautiful" form and shape.  Which of course begs the question of what is "beauty"?
