Trio for the Chiaroscuro Challenge Choir

Portrait photographers consider placing a subject in bright sun a big NO! NO!.  A person's face is much more interesting and personal compared to the uniformly lighted police mug shot that is the standard fare of portrait studios.  The harsh light tends to emphasize lines and tends to age a person in a photo, but not necessarily a drawing.
A camera can capture what is there to be seen (and it does it well) but a drawing conveys what you think and feel as well as identity of the subject.
